Bowls England seek High Performance Director

Bowls England, the National Governing Body for Outdoor Flat Green Bowls, is seeking a High Performance Director that will be solely responsible for the selection of a High Performance Squad from a pool of players recommended by elected Regional Selectors and appointed International Team Managers. The post holder will drive Bowls Englandโ€™s vision to be consistently respected on the international scene, particularly at, but not limited to:

ยท         Test Matches

ยท         World Championships (including qualifying events)

ยท         Commonwealth Games

The post holder, who will receive expenses only, will be responsible for the appointment of their own support team for relevant events and to deliver a performance programme within the approved budget. Due to the nature of the role, a comprehensive knowledge of competitive bowls is essential.

This voluntary role is predominantly home-based, but with an expectation to attend some national and international events, for which approved expenses will be funded by Bowls England.

The successful candidate will be appointed by the Board of Bowls England for the period February 2019 to September 2022 (subject to Annual Review).
