Starting on Thursday 25 August, and running until Sunday 11 September, the famous greens at Victoria Park, Royal Leamington Spa will see 33 competitions reaching their climax.
How many representatives does each county get?
The last eight (quarter-finalists) in all individual national competitions and inter-club competitions will qualify for the national finals. In inter-county competitions the last four (semi-finalists) will qualify for the national finals.
For all national championship events, those which are administered by each individual county association, a maximum of 48 qualifiers will compete at Leamington in each event. The number of representatives that each county receives at the national finals is dependent on the number of entrants per county. The breakdown per event is as follows:
Men’s Singles
- Berkshire, Cornwall, Devon, Essex, Gloucestershire, Hampshire, Hertfordshire, Kent, Northumberland, Surrey, Sussex, Warwickshire and Wiltshire will receive two representatives
- All other counties will receive one representative
Men’s Two-Bowl Singles
- Berkshire, Cornwall, Devon, Essex, Hampshire, Hertfordshire, Kent, Middlesex, Suffolk, Surrey, Sussex, Warwickshire and Wiltshire will receive two representatives
- All other counties will receive one representative
Men’s Pairs
- Berkshire, Cornwall, Devon, Essex, Gloucestershire, Hampshire, Hertfordshire, Kent, Middlesex, Somerset, Surrey, Sussex and Warwickshire will receive two representatives
- All other counties will receive one representative
Men’s Triples
- Berkshire, Cornwall, Devon, Essex, Gloucestershire, Hampshire, Hertfordshire, Kent, Northamptonshire, Somerset, Surrey, Sussex and Warwickshire will receive two representatives
- All other counties will receive one representative
Men’s Fours

- All other counties will receive one representative, except for Isle of Wight who had no entrants in this discipline.
