Bedfordshire’s Dawn Grisley, Maz Fisher, Jenny Ralph and Jackie Bryant, from Potton BC, have won the Women’s National Senior Fours Championship, supported by the Friends of English Bowling.
They defeated Sussex’s Rachel Mackriell, Mary Bray, Julia Fordham and Denise Hodd (Polegrove BC) in the final.
The Bedfordshire quartette progressed to the final with a win against Hertfordshire’s Joan Welch, Aileen Weaver, June Mills and Shirley Bradbury (Riverain BC) in the semi-final, whilst the Sussex four reached the final following victory against Cumbria’s Jeanette Bell, Angela Hayton, Penny Peile and Kath Baxter (Wigton BC).
