Bowls Round-Up

What to expect from the January edition…

Many apologies for our lack of social media content over the last few weeks. We have been extremely busy ensuring that the publications have been as high quality as ever.

The January edition will be popping through your doors next Thursday and, as usual, it is jam-packed with relevant and exciting bowls news.

We have a full draw and schedule for the World Bowls Tour world indoor championships, which will be played at Potters Resort from 10-26 January, with new headline sponsors Just Retirement Ltd.

We have all the usual club, Scottish, Welsh, Irish, English and international news, as well as articles from John Rednall on how to be an effective lead, John Bell on the Hong Kong Classic, Tony Allcock on the role of the number two and Sian Gordon on psychology in bowls, as well as many others including David Corkill, Allan Thornhill and David Rhys Jones.

We also have a special feature from Lincoln member Patrick Oโ€™Reilly on how Zen can aid your performance and a company profile feature on Dennis mowers.

Our tournament news revolves around the Hong Kong Classic and the Scottish Open, the latter won by Nick Brett in his first WBT triumph.

We also have a holiday section focussing on Devon.

Watch this space: We will be making an Instagram account in the near future (before Christmas) and uploading photographs โ€˜on the goโ€™ from events attended by Bowls International staff. You will hear more about this nearer the time. This will chime well with our Facebook and Twitter accounts.

Finally, the Bowls International team hope you have a great festive period and New Year. We hope that if you do not subscribe (which you should anyway), Santa has been really kind and you will be fortunate enough to get a subscription for a year or two years.

With very best wishes from all of the team,

Patrick (editor), Mel (chief contributing editor), Dave (advertising manager), Chris (designer), Melissa (secretary) and all of the contributors to the publication.
