Gerrard Cross win men’s club two fours

Buckinghamshireโ€™s Gerrards Cross BC have won the Bowls England Menโ€™s Club Two Fours competition, sponsored by Dales Sports.

They defeated Buntingford BC from Hertfordshire 44-20 in the final at Victoria Park, Royal Leamington Spa.

The Gerrards Cross team featured four players that were part of the clubโ€™s previous success in the competition in 1999 โ€“ Kirk Smith, Alan Price, Richard Reid and Menโ€™s Senior International Captain John McGuinness.

In the semi-final, Gerrards Cross recovered from a deficit of around 20 shots to defeat Weybridge BC, Surrey, whilst Buntingford defeated Workington BC from Cumbria.
