ENGLAND WOMEN RETAIN SENIOR TITLE

Report courtesy of Bowls England…

England beat Wales at Les Creux BC in Jersey earlier today to retain the British Isles Womenโ€™s Bowls Council international team title.

Earlier wins during the event against Ireland, Scotland and the host nation Jersey meant that victory against Wales would ensure top spot.

And the team made no mistake with a thumping 143-97 triumph โ€“ with all six rinks scoring individual wins in their respective games.

Englandโ€™s women will now aim to complete a hat-trick of titles on home territory when the 2015 international series is staged in Royal Leamington Spa in 12 months time.
