Certificate of achievement

West Wimbledon Bowling Club (Surrey), founded 1921, was pleased to present John L. Marshall with a certificate of achievement award to commemorate that this year marks his 60th anniversary as a dedicated and loyal Club member.
John was born just 200 yards from the club and he signed up as a member in 1963, aged 19. His father was a member before him, and his grandfather before that.
During his time at West Wimbledon, he has won most every trophy and held most every position on the committee, including president. He is currently the bar manager.
Oliver Hamilton, West Wimbledon’s club development officer, commented: “John is loved by all at West Wimbledon and it was right to duly mark this huge milestone and thank him for a lifetime of service to the club and the bowling community. The club wouldn’t be where it is today without him – he is, and should be, a true inspiration.”
