Amy Gowshall scoops ninth Champion of Champions title

Lincolnshire’s Amy Gowshall today won the Bowls England Women’s National Champion of Champions Competition, sponsored by Sutton Winson Insurance and Risk Managers, for the ninth time.

The Cleethorpes BC ace first won the title in 1998 and has dominated the event over the subsequent period.

In this afternoon’s final Gowshall defeated two-time winner Katherine Hawes, from Oxfordshire, 21-12 having earlier despatched Somerset’s Stef Branfield in the semi-final.
