England success in America

England international John McGuinnness (Bucks) has won the singles tournament at the Michael-Ashton Phillips International Challenge event in Southern California.

Runner-up was Scotland’s Robert Marshall, with fellow Scot Jim Meikle third.

Players from America, China, Canada, Hong Kong, England, Scotland and Wales are involved in the week-long event that also includes a pairs competition.
