International quartet to represent England in Hong Kong

Bowls England has announced its four representatives who will compete in a number of events in Hong Kong later this year.

Senior Internationals Michelle Coleman (Huntingdonshire), Steve Mitchinson (Essex) and Taylor Monk (Kent) will be joined by Junior International Emma Cooper (Sussex).

The quartet will take part in the Hong Kong Football Club Classic Mixed Fours, which will be held on Wednesday 7th November and Thursday 8th November, before competing in the Hong Kong International Bowls Classic, which will be held between Saturday 10th November and Sunday 18th November 2018.

The Hong Kong International Bowls Classic is one of the signature bowls events on the international bowls calendar โ€“ being one of the largest annual international lawn bowls events in the world. The four players will compete in a singles competition, before competing in a Womenโ€™s and Menโ€™s Pairs Competition.

The Classic Mixed Fours, which is officially endorsed by the Hong Kong Lawn Bowls Association (HKLBA), is organised by the HKFC Lawn Bowls Section as the lead-up event to the HKLBA Classic for overseas elite players to enjoy two days of bowling with club members in the world class facilities on offer.

Invitations are sent to all national members of World Bowls and also all local clubs in Hong Kong to participate in.

Bowls England wishes the four selected players the best of luck at the event.
