Scots retain Acle Trophy

Congratulations to the Scottish Under 25 ladies’ team (pictured) who retained the Acle Trophy at the British Isles Indoor Bowls Council International Series.

In a winner takes all final session series decider for the title, it was a close fought game against England, winners on 16 previous occasions, but Scotland took the lead early doors and saw off a late resurgence from the English to win by 11 shots and clinch the trophy for the fourth time in history.

Wales finished third after beating the hosts Ireland by four shots in the final session.

Walesโ€™ Estee Winsper-Parry was presented with the Jane Type Salver as player of the series voted for by opposing TMs.
