Jackson Provides a Thriller

Lincoln & District’s Billy Jackson won on home soil in the second session of the Premier Threes events.

He defeated Gallow’s Mervyn King in the final, winning the opening set 3-1 and racing home to a second set, 6-0 victory.

Earlier, Jackson defeated Spalding’s Graham Smith, taking it in three sets, winning the first 3-1, losing the second 2-1 and winning the third 4-0.

In the first game, Jackson defeated King’s son, Sam, on a one-bowl shoot-out. The first set was tied 3-3, the second was taken by King, 1-2, and Jackson scraped the third, 3-2. King bowled a yard past in the shoot-out and Jackson comfortably beat it.
