Jamie-Lea Winch wins Bowls England Women’s Singles

Leicestershire’s Jamie-Lea Winch has won the Women’s National Singles Championship, supported by the Friends of English Bowling, to complete the full set of individual national titles.

Winch defeated Durham’s Teresa Parnell in the final to clinch the blue riband event and build on her previous successes in the Junior Singles (2008 and 2012) and Two-Wood Singles (2017).

Earlier Parnell defeated Somerset’s Stef Branfield 21-18 to reach the final, whilst Winch secured a count of four with the score tied at 17-17 against Lincolnshire’s Amy Gowshall to secure her place in the final.
