Dorset win BE women’s triples

Dorset’s Julie Leake, Bridget Hodder and Penny Cresswell won the Bowls England Women’s National Triples Championship, sponsored by St James’s Place Wealth Management.

They defeated Surrey’s Sharmishta Patel, Maureen Vandrau and Margaret Smith, the 2018 champions, in a tense final after a rain affected day at Victoria Park, Royal Leamington Spa.
